The RailsConf Europe 2008 opens the knocks at Berlino, on a beautiful sunny day. In these days we look at opening a window about the conference, to show you the most interesting aspects that will be spoken about the future of Rails in Europe and in the world. To share with you the contents of the speeches, the articles are almost posted at real-time :)
The RailsConf has started with a day dedicated to tutorials, where some famous names show some of the marvels of Rails. Last night we attended the informal party and non official start of the convention organized by the efficient Ruby User Group of Berlin. We don’t exactly know how many ‘bratwurst’ we consumed, but we presume at least 2.000.
The evening was also a great opportunity to meet people, famous and not so famous, to get to know new people (like Simone and Bededetto from Altura Lab), to tighten up relations and…to taste the excellent German beer.
Personally I have decided to start the tutorial day following the speech of Jerkko Laine and Geoffrey Grosenbach “Accessible Ajax on Rails”. For those of you who are interested in the slides you can find them at SlideShare this way it is possible to access the code used in an example in the course of the presentation by accessing GitHub.
Please remain tunes to us to have continuous updated on the Rails conference.
